Jan Mooren

Highly experienced bass player and singer with an excellent ear for music. Plays electric (double) bass, tin whistle and melodica.
Jan was also a member of the blues rock trio Kinky Boots.

Dominique Tokaya

Former violin-player. Now, percussionist with natural feeling for rhythm. She completes the band by replacing a regular drum kit with a djembé, snaredrum, bongos, cajon and other percussion instruments in the rhythm section. Like the rest of the band, she contributes with her vocals as well.

Bert Jacobs

Guitar player and singer who had been fiddling day in day out on his toy guitar since the age of eight until he could imitate ‘Apache’ of the Shadows without any mistakes.
Both his experience as well as his selection of guitars have grown during the years, but the principle of making music is still the same; with your heart and your ears! Used to play (together with his brother Jos) in easy-listening band Gandalph and later (together with Ellis) in McVille Country band as a pedal steel player, acoustic guitarist and singer.

Ellis Vercoulen

Lead singer also with big time experience; earlier with rock band Colorado, McVille country band (both together with Bert) and cover band Get Ready. Now she’s in the well earned spotlights with party band L!nk and Take Seat in which she adds more of her musicality with percussion instruments (beat ring, woodblock, claves and more).

Jos Jacobs

Jos’ basics in guitar-playing were founded in his early youth with classical guitar lessons. He gained further musical development as a member of the band Gandalph, as an accompanying guitar player in theatre companies and in all kinds of projects, the latter often together with his brother Bert. With his solid basics on the guitar he has mastered the mandolin as well which fits the style of Take a Seat superbly.
